Utah residents who want to buy individual tickets to the 2014 Sundance Film Festival can start registering now.

Registration is open through Dec. 16, at 4 p.m. Mountain time, for Utah locals to get a time slot to order individual tickets.

Time slots are assigned by lottery, and those who register will learn via email on Dec. 19 when they can purchase tickets.

There is a limit of 20 tickets per registration, and four per screening. Time slots are not transferrable. Locals must be able to prove they are Utah residents, using a driver's license or similar ID as proof. Go the sundance website for details.

The festival runs Jan. 16-26. Titles for this year's festival will be announced in early December.
