Tanker overturns, partially blocks U.S. 40 in Wasatch County

A semi-tanker rig hauling gasoline overturned on U.S. 40 in Wasatch County early Thursday morning, blocking the westbound lane of travel.

The Utah Highway Patrol did not report any injuries in the crash, which occurred about 4:30 a.m. at mile post 24, south of Heber City and near the town of Independence.

The accident scene had been cleared by 6:30 a.m. with only a small amount of fuel reported to have leaked.
