State colleges: BYU beats Pacific in women's soccer for its sixth straight victory

Provo • Cloee Colohan and Ashley Hatch each had a goal and an assist to lead No. 20 BYU to a 3-1 victory over Pacific on Thursday night in West Coast Conference women's soccer.

Pacific (4-11-3, 3-4-1) scored just 50 seconds into the game. The Cougars (13-4-1) won their sixth straight game.

San Diego State 3, Utah State 2 • Shay Haddow put the Aggies ahead 1-0 in the 15th minute, but the Aztecs rallied and scored the winning goal in the 75th minutes to knock Utah State (10-7-5) out of the Mountain West tournament.

Women's volleyball

BYU 3, San Francisco 0 • Kathryn LeCheminant had 10 kills as the Cougars prevailed on the road — 25-20, 25-19, 25-8 — to win their third straight match and remain in first place in the West Coast Conference.
