An infant West Valley City girl remained in critical condition Wednesday, nearly a week after she nearly drowned at her home.

West Valley City Fire Marshal Bob Fitzgerald said he had not been able to obtain any other information from the family of the 9-month-old, other than she reportedly remained at Primary Children's Hospital on life support.

The girl was found submerged in a five-gallon bucket the afternoon of Nov. 7 outside her home near 7100 West Bendixon Drive (2680 South).

Paramedics were able to resuscitate the girl, who was taken to Pioneer Valley Hospital and then flown to Primary Children's.
