A semi-truck rollover in Summit County early Thursday night killed one person.

The accident happened at the junction of Interstates 80 and 84, near the towns of Echo and Henefer, according to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Todd Johnson. About 8:28 p.m., the westbound truck was turning right on an off ramp when it rolled, crushing the cab. The truck was pulling a flatbed trailer.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Johnson did not immediately have information on the age, gender or name of the driver.

The Salt Lake Tribune will update this story when more information becomes available.
