Salt Lake City cops seek Maverik store gunman

Police were looking for gunman who held up Maverik store in southeast Salt Lake City early Thursday morning.

Public safety dispatchers confirmed the holdup was reported about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at 710 E. 2700 South.

The suspect, described as a 5-foot-8, 160-pound white man in his 30s and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, walked to the counter, demanded and received cash from the till.

He then fled the store on foot, into the darkness.

No one was hurt.
