Letter: Oil industry lobbyist pays for legislators' attention

When a lobbyist tells our elected officials that they need to put aside a "war chest" of our tax dollars to hire "… smart attorneys who know how to beat the EPA on air quality issues ...," our legislators jump right into action ("Utah lawmakers look to amass anti-environmental war chest," Tribune, Nov. 19). Money talks.

If our elected officials are eager to use our tax dollars to stop any effort to keep polluted our air from getting worse, I wonder who represents the people of Utah? Where is our lobbyist?
