Las Vegas • The Aggies jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the fourth and potentially game-winning set, but the Rebels rallied to prevail 25-16, 21-25, 18-25, 25-19, 15-10 in Mountain West play.

Three Aggies hit in double figures for kills — Elle Brainard (16), Rachel Orr (16) and Tumua Etimani (12). Paige Neves had 46 assists and 10 digs, and Ashlan Rogers-Court tallied a team-high 28 digs for Utah State (18-10, 11-6), which had won two straight conference matches before Thursday night.

Portland State 3, Weber State 1 • Audrey Biggs hit .250 and finished with 17 kills, but it wasn't enough as the Wildcats lost in four sets — 25-14, 25-19, 22-25, 25-15 — in Big Sky Conference action in Ogden.

McKay Tarbox had 21 digs for Weber State (7-26, 3-16), which has lost six straight matches.

New Mexico State 3, Utah Valley 0 • Lauren Stringham pounded a team-high 10 kills for the Wolverines, who hit just .021 in a 25-18, 25-18, 25-20 loss in Las Cruces, N.M.

Brookelyn Hall tallied assists and 11 digs for Utah Valley (18-14, 11-5 Western Atheltic Conference), which lost its second straight match.

Northern Colorado 3, Southern Utah 0 • Mikayla Dunford had a team-high eight kills for the Thunderbirds, who lost 25-21, 25-15, 25-14 in Big Sky Conference play in Greeley, Colo.

Joanna Christenson tallied 20 assists for Southern Utah (4-26, 3-16), which plays its final match of the season at North Dakota on Saturday.

Women's basketball

SUU 74, UVU 63 • Lori Parkinson scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Thunderbirds (3-1) over the Wolverines (1-4).
