Sundance is going back to London.
The Sundance Institute and AEG Europe announced today that the Sundance London Film and Music Festival will return for a third year, April 25-27 at the O2 Arena in London.
The three-day festival will have the same number of films and events as last year, as well an expanded filmmaker development program (or, as they say in Britain, "programme"). Also returning are the Sundance London Short Film Competition, and a shorts workshop led by Sundance Film Festival short-film programmer Mike Plante.
"We look with great excitement to hosting the third Sundance London in April," John Cooper, director of the Sundance Film Festival, said in a statement. "In keeping with the event's purpose of celebrating independent artists, the Short Film Competition and workshop allow us to tap into the vibrant artistic community in the UK and connect that work with audiences at the festival."
Ticket packages for Sundance London go on sale Wednesday morning on the UK festival's website. Full programme, er, program announcements will be forthcoming.
