Letter: Swallow is right: He's check with an intolerable speck

As reported in the Tribune, John Swallow announced his resignation ("Utah A.G. John Swallow leapt before he was pushed," Tribune, Nov. 24).

As one of his many excuses he likened himself to "a baby chick born with a speck, which the other chicks peck until the chick is dead." I have to agree wholeheartedly; Swallow is a chick with a speck, a defect that allows him to exhibit poor judgment, collude with unsavory characters, let greed become his moral compass and cross normal boundaries of ethical behavior without any remorse or apology.

Yes, Mr. Swallow, we the citizens of Utah don't like your speck and have pecked enough to get you to resign.
