Patchy valley fog, air inversion-related smog and continued cold temperatures were on northern Utah's weather menu for the mid-week.
Indeed, those conditions prompted the National Weather Service's issuance of a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the western two-thirds of the state. That advisory runs not only through Thanksgiving, but into next week.
The Wasatch Front expected partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper-40s Wednesday, the same forecast as Tuesday's. Overnight lows were to be in the upper-20s.
Southern Utahns looked for highs in the upper-50s, lows in the mid-30s and partially cloudy horizons.
The Utah Avalanche Center on Tuesday rated all mountain areas of the state as being at "moderate" risk for potentially deadly snow slides.
