It's not every day when police can call a crime at a tanning salon a cold case.

Nonetheless, the Unified Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying and bringing to justice the armed robbery suspect who hit the Tanning Spot in Millcreek two weeks ago.

UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal said the suspect — a white male, 5-foot-8 with dark hair and several days' worth of beard growth, wearing a blue and white Dallas Cowboys cap, sunglasses, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, white shorts and light colored shoes — entered the business on Nov. 11 at 4:30 p.m.

"[He] walked up to the counter and presented a note that demanded money. The note also indicated the suspect was armed however, no weapons were displayed," Hoyal said.

UPD officers searched the area upon arrival but could not locate the suspect.

UPD on Tuesday released a clip from the store's security video camera. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call 801-743-5890.
