A woman escaped with non-life threatening injuries after being ejected during a rollover on Interstate 15 near the Point of the Mountain on Tuesday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said that the woman, whose identity and age were not immediately released, was speeding southbound on I-15 at 8:51 a.m. when she reportedly sideswiped another car.

Her Ford Mustang then went out-of-control into the median and then crashed into a concrete barrier wall and rolled into the northbound lanes.

Royce said the woman was ejected, treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center, where she initially was listed in critical condition. Tuesday afternoon she was upgraded to fair condition.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash closed down the freeway's three left northbound lanes near 14600 South. UHP said normal traffic flow through the area resumed late Tuesday morning.
