Jake Brown caulks down some tacking in preparation for laying carpet at Murray High School's seventh Spartan House, which sold during its open house earlier this year. The school's eighth Spartan House, which is built from the ground up by Murray High School students, is nearing its construction midpoint. The home, located at 746 W. Tripp Lane (5765 South) in Murray, will go on the market in Spring of 2015, said Quinn Drury, building trades instructor at Murray High School.
Currently, 18 students are working on the house, which is still being framed.
"We have a great bunch of students," Drury said. "Several are looking to make this a career path to be construction managers."
