Safe ice fishing conditions are just emerging across on Utah's popular waters, but it isn't too early to mark the calendar for a new tournament being held by Utah State Parks in 2014. The first annual Wasatch Back Quad-Fishalon is being held on Saturdays from Jan. 25 to Feb. 22 at four different reservoirs associated with Utah State Parks. The registration for the tournament is Jan. 22 at noon and the fee is $70 for all four events. Prizes will be awarded each weekend and overall prizes of $500, $300 and $200 gift cards to Scheels will be awarded at the end of the tournament to the anglers with the largest total measurements. Registration for the individual events is $20 and can be done at the park on the day of the tournament. The first day of fishing will be held Jan. 25 at East Canyon followed by Deer Creek on Feb. 8, Rockport on Feb. 15 and Jordanelle on Feb. 22. Register on the Utah State Parks webpage.
