St. Peter may guard the pearly gates, but it's Pope Francis who will decide if you are sufficiently hot for the club.
That's because the latest pope once worked as a bouncer, the Catholic News Service reported Monday. Francis spoke about the job Sunday while visiting a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Rome. Besides working as a bouncer, the leader of millions of Catholics also swept floors in his younger years and ran tests in a chemical laboratory.
Francis, a native of Argentina, is 76 years old, meaning his clubbing days are probably well behind him now. Still with his track record of being good to everyone he's been seen kissing a disfigured man and sneaking out of the Vatican to give money to the poor recently Francis seems to be turning Catholicism itself into the hottest club in the world.
