St. Peter may guard the pearly gates, but it's Pope Francis who will decide if you are sufficiently hot for the club.

That's because the latest pope once worked as a bouncer, the Catholic News Service reported Monday. Francis spoke about the job Sunday while visiting a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Rome. Besides working as a bouncer, the leader of millions of Catholics also swept floors in his younger years and ran tests in a chemical laboratory.

Francis, a native of Argentina, is 76 years old, meaning his clubbing days are probably well behind him now. Still with his track record of being good to everyone — he's been seen kissing a disfigured man and sneaking out of the Vatican to give money to the poor recently — Francis seems to be turning Catholicism itself into the hottest club in the world.
