Candidates are lining up to replace former Utah Attorney General John Swallow, who stepped down from the post on Tuesday. Gov. Gary Herbert is marking education, air quality, tourism and prisons as his budget priorities. Same-sex marriage proponents make their case that Utah's Amendment 3 violates the federal constitution. And the number of Utah-issued concealed weapons permits passes the half-million mark.
