The Wasatch High School Chamber Choir will be singing with Kurt Bestor this Christmas.

The choir from Heber City won a contest, mounted by Bestor and the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, for school choirs in Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Weber, Summit and Wasatch counties. The top five choirs each will receive a $500 scholarship for their school's choir department.

Wasatch H.S.'s choir will perform in the closing number of Bestor's "A Kurt Bestor Christmas" concert on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Here are the other four winning choirs:

2nd place • Layton High School Combined Choirs.

3rd place • Syracuse High School Madrigals.

4th place • Payson High School Trouveres

5th place • Kearns High School Choir.

The second- through fifth-place choirs each will perform in the lobby of Abravanel Hall before one of Bestor's four concerts, Dec. 19-21.

The five choirs will receive their awards, and scholarship money, from Bestor and Gail Miller (widow of Larry H. Miller) during the Miller Family's annual Christmas Carole Sing-Along, Monday night at EnergySolutions Arena.
