Here at The Salt Lake Tribune, we know more of you are consuming news on mobile devices, whether on iPads or other tablet computers or on smartphones.

As a result, we're constantly updating and improving our apps along with our mobile website at m.sltrib.com, and are in the process of hiring a new project manager/developer to oversee this effort.

Web/mobile project manager/developer

The Salt Lake Tribune/sltrib.com seeks a project manager with development experience to expand and improve its web and mobile news products. Applicants should have software project management experience, as well as experience with PHP, Javascript, XML and mySQL. Exposure to CakePHP, HTML5, iOS and Android development is a plus. The position includes technical oversight of sltrib.com and The Tribune's mobile applications, and the successful candidate would work with journalists and developers to improve existing products and develop new ones. The Tribune is Utah's largest independent news organization and has been delivering news via the web since 1996. Salary dependent on experience.
