Logan • A dominating first-half effort led the Aggies to break a recent cold streak on Saturday night, as they earned a 71-60 win over visiting Utah Valley.

Utah State (6-3) played big early, holding the Wolverines to only one field goal in the first 11:43. Preston Medlin led the Aggies to a 23-point lead at the half, with 15 points of his own in the first with four shots behind the 3-point line.

UVU had a bit of a resurgence in the second half as Utah State's energy wained. But the Aggies kept an edge with a decisive 39-21 advantage on the boards.

Medlin and Jarred Shaw each led with 18 points apiece, while Kyle Davis had 12 in his return to action. Holton Hunsaker led all scorers with 21.
