A multi-vehicle crash brought the late-Monday morning commute to a crawl on Interstate 80 in west Salt Lake County.

No injuries were reported, but Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said two eastbound and one westbound lanes near 1400 West were shut down by the 9 a.m. accidents involving two large trucks and a sedan.

One of the eastbound trucks reportedly crashed through concrete barrier panels and into the westbound lanes.

UHP advised drivers to avoid the area and use alternative surface streets around the accident scene, which was not cleared until 12:45 a.m.

The cause of the crashes were under investigation.
