It seems tragedy and death were on the minds of Google searchers around the world in 2013.

Google announced its annual Zeitgeist list, the top Internet searches for 2013, and three of the top five involved the loss of a famous person.

The recent passing of iconic figure Nelson Mandela was the top global trending search, according to Google, followed by October's tragic death of "Fast and Furious" actor Paul Walker, who perished in a fiery car crash. No 3. was the iPhone 5S, Apple's newest smartphone that was released last September. In fourth place was the overdose death of "Glee" actor Cory Monteith, followed by the "Harlem Shake," the gyrating video craze that swept the world.

Here's the full list, according to Google's Zeitgeist.
