With this weekend being the last before the Christmas holiday, shoppers will likely be out in force getting last minute gifts and stocking stuffers. If you find yourself among the crowds, the Ogden Police Department has a few tips for you to keep your shopping spree crime-free.

The police department recently listed their tips for holiday shoppers on their Facebook page, which include:

• Never leave valuables in your vehicle when it is unattended.

• If you are making several shopping stops, try to conceal your treasures (preferably in the trunk.)

• Make sure to lock your doors and keep your windows rolled up.

The police department also advises shoppers to not leave your car running and unattended, and to park in well-lit areas if your holiday shopping takes you into the evening hours.
