A truck and sport utility vehicle crashed on icy roads Friday morning, briefly slowing down commuters navigating a Davis County interchange between Interstate 215 and Interstate 15.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the 6:15 a.m. crashes involving a Meadow Gold truck and a Dodge Durango came on a slick stretch of the I-215 eastbound ramp near Redwood Road.

First, the Durango went out of control and spun into the median, where it hit a cable barrier. A moment later, the driver of the truck tried to take evasive action. The truck also ended up in the median, where it rolled.

Two of three lanes were closed for about an hour while the accident scene was cleared.

No injuries were reported and as of 7:30 a.m., traffic was flowing normally through the area.
