Letter: Getting kids to eat veggies easy; no study needed

Once again, so-called researchers ("Bribing kids to eat veggies might work, study says," Tribune, Dec. 19) have demonstrated they don't have the brains they were born with.

Solutions: 1. Parental responsibility: "Don't want to finish your dinner? Fine. No dessert." 2. Schools: Teach cafeteria cooks how to prepare vegetables so they actually taste good, not like a watery mess.

Problem solved. No need for those who find the obvious so elusive to apply for another million-dollar grant to come up with hare-brained solutions.
