• Catch a Christmas Eve matinee of Ballet West's "The Nutcracker," at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City. Show starts at noon. Tickets available at ArtTix.

• The Salt Lake Film Society presents its annual showing of the holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life!," today and Christmas evening at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City. Showtimes are today at 3 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. on Christmas. Free.
