It's like a Christmas miracle: clear, blue skies across Utah to greet you this holiday morning.

But it won't last long.

The National Weather Service predicts that hazy skies and bad air will return to northern Utah valleys by Thursday.

Across northern Utah, residents can expect highs reaching 30 degrees under clear skies on Christmas Day. By Thursday morning, the weather service predicts haze and fog will settle across the valley through Friday. Highs for the next two days will remain around 30 degrees across the northern half of Utah. The Utah Division of Air Quality predicted that while Christmas Day will be a "green" or good day for air quality, it's expected to be a "yellow" or moderate day on Thursday.

Further South, both Cedar City and St. George will continue to enjoy sunny weather with highs in the upper-40s and low-50s over the next three days.

In southern Utah, good air quality is expected through Thursday.
