Salt Lake City police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and bringing to justice a man who held up a credit union earlier this week.

Police said the suspect — a white male, 5-foot-8, of slim build and with a tattoo on his neck — was wearing a dark checkered jacket and a black beanie-style cap when he walked into the Health Care Credit Union, 769 E. South Temple, just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The man approached a teller, demanded and received cash and then fled the scene on foot. He was last spotted heading north on K Street.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call SLCPD at 801-799-3000.
