When police arrived at a San Diego mall parking lot Tuesday they found two former Provo residents sitting in a car and riddled with bullet wounds. Now, police are searching for a missing man they say was the brother of one victim and the fiance of the other.

The shooting happened at Westfield Mission Valley mall sometime before 1:15 a.m., the San Diego Union Tribune reports. Police learned of the shooting when Ilona Flint, 22, called 911 and said she was a victim. She suffered gunshot wounds to the head and upper body and died before emergency crews could take her to a hospital.

Salvatore Belvedere, 22, also was sitting in the car and was repeatedly shot in the upper body, the Union Tribune reports. He was critically wounded but alive Thursday.

During a news conference Thursday, police announced they are looking for Gianni Belvedere, Salvatore's brother and Flint's fiance. However, police said they did not know if Gianni was a victim in the incident or if he was somehow involved in the shooting.

Flint and both brothers attended Provo High School, the Union Tribune reports. Flint moved to San Diego in 2010 to be with Gianni and still has family in Utah.

Police describe Gianni as 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes and may be driving a dark green 2004 Toyota Camry XLE with Utah license plate B154VZ. Anyone with information about Gianni is urged to call the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2293.
