Letter: KSL coverage of straight couple disgusting

The Mormon-owned KSL TV had a story on its 10 o'clock news about a heterosexual couple who tried to get a license in Salt Lake City, but found long lines and a wait of hours. The ridiculous woman complained that this was hindering their right to get married and she complained that she had holiday shopping to do and they just couldn't wait their turn.

So they traveled down to Provo in Utah County, a county refusing to grant licenses to gay couples, and had no trouble getting their license. A picture of the happy couple was shown while the woman went on and on about how great it was that she could now marry the person she loves.

She could have got her license any time. Gay people have waited decades for such a privilege. It was completely disgusting and one-sided. Shame on KSL TV!
