Monday on TV: Auburn vs. Florida State for the BCS championship

It's the last of the BCS championship games (6:30 p.m., ESPN) — goodbye and good riddance!

Not that I have anything against Auburn and Florida State. I'm actually looking forward to this matchup.

But the BCS has been a joke since it began. A corrupt system that is inherently unfair.

The plus-one, four-team playoff we're getting next year isn't a huge improvement, but it is an improvement.
