Utah State center Tyler Larsen will represent the Aggies in this year's Senior Bowl, the school announced Wednesday.

Larsen, a USA Today All-American and three time first team all-conference honoree, will participate in the week leading up to the Jan. 25 game in Mobile, Ala. He becomes the fourth Utah State player in five years to be selected to the Senior Bowl, joining Curtis Marsh, Bobby Wagner and Will Davis. He's the 18th Aggie overall to go to the game.

A stalwart for the Aggies, Larsen started a school-record 52 consecutive games during his time at Utah State. He was arguably the leader of a senior class that won a school-record 31 games in four years. Utah State coaches gave him an 89 percent performance grade for the year, according to the release, and he carried out the right assignment 98 percent of the time.

He was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy, an award given annually to the nation's best center.

Larsen accepted an invitation in December to play in the East-West Shrine game on Jan. 18, but that may now be superceded by the Senior Bowl invite.
