A woman suspected of stabbing a man to death in downtown Salt Lake City has turned herself in to police.
Natalie Fern Bluehouse, 50, surrendered to officers Friday, according to a police report. She was booked into jail on suspicion of murder.
Police believe Bluehouse stabbed Willie D. Hollingsworth, 49, near the Road Home shelter, 210 S. Rio Grande St. (450 West), the evening of Nov. 20. Bluehouse had been named in December as a person of interest in the case. According to a police report, after Bluehouse surrendered she admitted to stabbing Hollingsworth while she was intoxicated.
Hollingsworth suffered a stab wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later died. The report reveals that witnesses later told police Hollingsworth and Bluehouse were together when the stabbing occurred. The witnesses also said Bluehouse was intoxicated and threatened Hollingsworth.
Prosecutors have not yet filed charges against Bluehouse.
