A transient woman has been charged with stabbing a man to death near a Salt Lake City homeless shelter.
Natalie Fern Bluehouse, 50, was charged with first-degree felony murder in the Nov. 20 death of Willie D. Hollingsworth.
Bluehouse turned herself in Friday, saying she stabbed Hollingsworth with a kitchen knife near the Road Home Shelter during an argument, jail and court documents state. Hollingsworth died of a wound to the abdomen.
Several witnesses saw Bluehouse following Hollingsworth, 49, while yelling at him and threatening to stab him, the charge states.
In 2010, Bluehouse pleaded guilty to a reduced weapons charge after she allegedly tried to stab a different man in Pioneer Park. Charges show that she admitted to threatening the man with a 9-inch knife.
