Salt Lake City police have arrested a suspect in the robbery of a downtown Bank of Utah branch earlier this month.

Acting on information that a security camera video image matched 35-year-old Kurt Landenberger, detectives located him on Thursday. During questioning, and after being advised of his Miranda rights, Landenberger allegedly admitted to the holdup.

On Jan. 6, about 9:20 a.m., a man implying he had a firearm demanded and received cash from a teller at the bank, located at 711 S. State St. He then fled the bank on foot.

Landenberger remained in the Salt Lake County Jail on Friday, held without bail on suspicion of first-degree felony aggravated robbery.
