Workers and shoppers at The Gateway now have a new place to get a sugar high.

Northern Utah's only Rocket Fizz location has opened in a 3,500-square foot store located next to Morgan Jewelers at The Olympic Legacy Fountain area. Rocket Fizz opened its first store in California in 2009 and now operates 50 franchise stores in 14 states. The soda pop and candy stores stock thousands of different kinds of soda pop and candies.

"Rocket Fizz is finally coming to Salt Lake City and we are so excited about it," said Patrick Evans, whose Gateway venture is the third franchise he owns and operates. "With over 2,000 kinds of nostalgic and imported candies, chocolate and taffies, 500 types of bottled soda and more gags, toys and fun than you can shake a stick at, Rocket Fizz will become the number one shopping place for anybody who likes to have fun."
