It's not going to be a good day for breathing across northern Utah.

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality has issued an "orange" rating for the air in Salt Lake and Davis counties. The "orange" rating, which extends through at least Tuesday, means the air is "unhealthy for sensitive groups."

It also means that for the next three days, a mandatory air action day is in place.

For most of northern Utah, the air quality is expected to be "yellow" or moderate through Tuesday. But in Cache County, come Monday, the air quality rating increases to "red" or unhealthy.

The only part of the state where the air quality is expected to be good is in Washington County, according to the air quality experts.

The good news is that the weather is expected to be sunny and the high temperatures will remain above freezing through Wednesday.
