More Sundance films are making movie deals this week.

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that "Obvious Child," starring stand-up comedian Jenny Slate as a pregnant woman who is then dumped by her boyfriend, has been picked up by A24 for North American distribution. The industry newspaper says the deal is in the low seven figures.

The film is the second Sundance movie to be bought by the distributor. Over the weekend, A24 also bought the film "Laggies." "Obvious Child" is planned for a theatrical release some time later this year.

The newspaper also reported that the Park City at Midnight entry, "Cooties," is close to a deal with Lionsgate. The film, starring Elijah Wood ("The Lord of the Rings") and Rainn Wilson ("The Office"), is about an elementary school that's thrown into chaos when a virus turns the students into crazed cannibals.
