The third annual Global Fat Bike Summit will take place Friday and Saturday in Ogden.

Educational seminars and demonstrations at the Summit Hotel and Conference Center, 247 24th Street, will initiate Friday's activities. Land managers, bike dealers and Ogden-area officials will discuss the environmental impacts of all-terrain, fat-tired bikes. They also will talk about potential revenue from encouraging more use of trails.

Day two will featured free activities at Mt. Ogden Golf Course, 1787 Constitution Way, including bike jousting, fat bike bucket ball and races.

Ogden City, the GOAL Foundation and Quality Bicycle Products are sponsoring the event, previously held in Island Park, Idaho.
