Letter: Legislators have marching orders on liquor laws

Just days before the 2014 legislative session begins, the LDS Church says there is no need to change current liquor laws. Rest assured, the legislators have their marching orders ("LDS Church: Don't change Utah's liquor laws," Tribune, Jan. 21).
New restaurants will have to wait for that highly coveted liquor license, and restaurant patrons will have to pledge their intent to eat before ordering a drink.
Don't count on the Zion Curtain being torn down anytime soon. Heaven forbid restaurant patrons and children are exposed to the sight of a bartender preparing a drink.
It is much easier to enjoy school lunch if you don't know the majority of the funding comes from "demon rum."
