From blankets to M-14 rifles, military hand-me-downs are being included in the equipment used by Amerian police departments. But civil libertarians worry local law enforcement are adopting more aggressive military-style tactics in addition to the gear.

On Friday at 12:15 p.m., Connor Boyack of Libertas Institute, Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department, and Salt Lake Tribune military reporter Nate Carlisle join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about the military 1033 Program and what it means for local police and the public.
