Salt Lake City's Shilo Inn is getting a face lift, it was announced Friday, meaning one of the more reviled buildings in the city may see a bit more love in the future.
All of which raises an important question: what is the ugliest building in Salt Lake City?
Though some might have gone with the Shilo, a brief but passionate Twitter debate Friday raises a few other potential candidates. I've included those buildings in the survey above.
It's also probably worth mentioning that an ugly building isn't necessarily a reflection of the quality of work going on inside; all of these buildings surely have cool stuff happening in them and even The Tribune's current digs leave more than a bit to be desired by some accounts. A great organization isn't necessarily defined by the architecture it inhabits, though beautiful buildings also don't hurt at all.
And if you're interested, check back in a week to see the results of this survey.
