Hone journalism skills at Back to Basics Boot Camp

Students and beginning journalists, take note.

The Utah Headliners Chapter of The Society of Professionals Journalists on Feb. 22 will play host to a daylong Back to Basics Boot Camp offering workshops on writing, interviewing, reporting with public records and other documents, Associated Press style and ethics and media law.

Salt Lake Tribune assistant managing editor David Noyce and reporter/editor Nate Carlisle will be among professionals teaching at the boot camp, which will begin with networking at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. at Utah Valley University.

SPJ will provide lunch for those in attendance .
