Letter: Let's spend gay-marriage appeal money on kids

It is a shame that the state is paying $200,000 to one lawyer to fight legalizing gay marriage when it could spend that money to feed schoolchildren breakfast. Read Christopher Smart's story, "Utah last in school breakfast for low-income students" (Tribune, Jan. 23).
