State colleges: Davion Berry scores 28 points to help Weber State beat Northern Arizona

Flagstaff, Ariz. • Davion Berry scored 28 points to lead Weber State to a 76-67 win over Northern Arizona on Thursday.

Jeremy Senglin added 15 points and Joel Bolomboy had 13 rebounds for the Wildcats (10-6, 7-1), who shot 53.8 percent and made 28 of 40 free throws. Berry was 10 of 11 from the line and hit 4 of 7 3-pointers as WSU went 6-12 behind the arc.

Weber State coach Randy Rahe picked up his 100th conference win against 25 losses. He is 161-81 at WSU.

Max Jacobsen had 18 points for NAU (8-12, 5-4) with Quinton Upshur adding 15 and Kris Yanku 14.

Utah Valley 67, Texas-Pan American 53 • In Edinburg, Texas, Mitch Bruneel scored 16 points and Keawe Enos went 4 of 4 from 3-point range for 14 points to help the Wolverines (13-7, 7-0) remain undefeated in the Western Athletic Conference.

Montana 69, Southern Utah 61 • In Cedar City, Kareem Jamar scored 25 points and Wayne Tinkle won his 150th game as the Grizzlies' coach.

Southern Utah (1-17, 0-9) has lost its last four games by an average of six points.

Women's basketball

Saint Mary's 75, BYU 70 • In Moraga, Calif., Lexi Eaton scored a career-high 28 points for the Cougars (16-5, 6-4), but it wasn't enough during a West Coast Conference road game.

Northern Arizona 96, Weber State 87 • In Ogden, the Lumberjacks opened the second half on a 16-2 run en route a Big Sky Conference victory. Amanda Hughes scored a team-high 19 points for the Wildcats (4-14, 0-9).

Southern Utah 87, Montana State 81 • In Bozeman, Mont., Hailey Mandelko scored a team-high 22 points for the Thunderbirds (12-6, 6-3), who have won three straight Big Sky games.
