Former 3rd District Judge David Dee died this week at his Salt Lake City home. He was 90 years old.

Dee, whose list of life accomplishments includes World War II veteran, University of Utah graduate, FBI agent and state court judge, will be celebrated Monday in the Monument Park 16th Ward at 1320 Wasatch Drive.

Services will be held from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a two-hour reception with Dee's family.

Dee served on the bench for 11 years — from 1975 to 1986 — and was former Gov. Scott Matheson's first judicial appointment.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Bailey Dee, his son David Reed and four grandchildren: Geoffrey David Lara, Brooke Alyse Diston, Analee Diston and Sarah Jane Dee.
