Letter: Seattle Slew headline was clever

The sports editor's Monday headline and double meaning were very clever: "Seattle Slew The Horse." However, I doubt if even 10 percent of your readership actually "got it."

Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown in 1977, the next to last horse to accomplish this very difficult feat. As to the headline, isn't it interesting that a comma, after Slew, would change the entire meaning of the headline? Ah, the power of punctuation!
