Utah Transit Authority wants to clear the air literally and figuratively about the environmental and financial benefits of choosing trains and buses over commuting in private automobiles.
UTA spokesman Remi Barron says that UTA's Ride Clear program is handing out 5,000 free transit passes good for use on seven consecutive days during the period beginning Feb. 17 and running through March 31.
The passes will be good on all UTA transportation, including TRAX light rail, FrontRunner commuter rail and buses.
