Weber State basketball: Wildcats defeat Northern Colorado

Ogden • Davion Berry and Jeremy Senglin each scored 15 points, and Joel Bolomboy added 12 with 13 rebounds as Big Sky-leading Weber State topped second-place Northern Colorado 79-65 Saturday night.

The Wildcats (13-7, 10-2) shot 53.3 percent from the field and drained 12 of 20 3-pointers.

Jordan Richardson had 14 points and Berry finished with six assists.

Northern Colorado (13-8, 7-5) was held to 23-of-60 shooting and went 4 of 13 from the perimeter. Tate Unruh led the Bears with 18 points and Derrick Barden had 11.

WSU jumped out to a 14-2 lead with Richardson and Senglin each hitting a 3-pointer. UNC fought back to tie the game at 26, but the Wildcats closed the half on a 13-6 run.

Senglin sank two more 3-pointers to help WSU move out to a 52-34 lead early in the second half, and they coasted to their 26th-straight conference win at home.
