Silver medalist Staale Sandbech of Norway, holds up gold medalist Sage Kotsenburg, of Park City, following the men's slopestyle finals at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park during the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games. Kotsenburg won the gold medal with a score of 93.50.

Today was historic as we watched Park City's Sage Kotsenburg win the gold medal in men's slopestyle. Not only was it the first gold medal awarded at these Olympics, it was the first gold medal ever for this sport because this is the sport's Olympic debut. I like this moment when Sage is being picked up by his competitor while holding the American flag.
